๐ฉบ Welcome to The Med Life Diary – A Med Student's Guide to Surviving (and Maybe Thriving)
Hi, I’m Akash — currently a 3rd-year MBBS student at BJGMC, Pune.
Also currently: sleep-deprived, slightly caffeinated, and wondering why the human body has so many damn parts.
Welcome to my blog: The Med Life Diary — where I document the chaos, confusion, and occasional clarity of being a med student in India.
๐ง Why I Started This Blog
Honestly? Because Googling “how to remember cranial nerves” gave me 5 different mnemonics, all of which were more confusing than the topic itself.
So I figured — why not make a place where we keep things real, relatable, and non-boring?
Also, I wanted to:
Share what med school life actually looks like (spoiler: it's not all Grey’s Anatomy)
Help aspirants not feel like they’re dying during NEET prep
Bust some health myths (No, vaccines do NOT cause WiFi connectivity issues)
And maybe add a human touch to this journey we call medicine
๐ What You’ll Find Here (Apart From My Rants)
Day-in-the-life stories from a real med student
Study hacks that helped me not cry (too often)
Simplified medical concepts even your dadi can understand
Health tips that aren’t stolen from WhatsApp forwards
And occasional existential questions, like why we have an appendix
๐ What to Expect
Weekly posts (unless exams, because MBBS doesn’t care about your hobbies)
Zero jargon – You don’t need an MD to read this blog
A mix of fun + facts – because learning should not feel like reading Harrison’s at 2 AM๐ญ
❤️ Let’s Do This
Whether you’re a NEET aspirant, an MBBS fresher, or just someone who panics every time you sneeze — this blog is for you.
Thanks for reading. Bookmark this site, share it with your batchmates (or your mom), and stay tuned for weekly updates from your favorite med diary.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go pretend I understand PSM.
See you in the next post,
– Akash
